Blue Ribbon Trailers LTD kicks off new Northeast Ohio Production Facility
North Jackson, OH - October 20, 2008 - The move from Oklahoma City to North Jackson, Ohio is complete for Blue Ribbon Trailers, LTD. With the first trailer rolling off of the production line just a couple of days ago, Blue Ribbon is successfully marking the next chapter in its history with a renewed mission: to build a high quality trailer while keeping costs low.
Clint Leonard, owner of Blue Ribbon Trailers LTD, decided to move production to Ohio based on the need to keep costs as low as possible for future success. He states, "The present economy is a challenge for everyone, and controlling costs is very important to ensure the success of Blue Ribbon and its Dealer network. Blue Ribbon has successfully reduced it costs and improved efficiencies over the course of the company's history. We have maintained our costs when most of our competitors have had several price increases over the same period. This move represents another significant cost savings, which we pass on to our dealers, and our dealers can then pass on to their customers."
Specifically, the move gives Blue Ribbon Trailers LTD better access to competitively priced aluminum extrusions, a more modern facility, and a large base of skilled aluminum welders to pull from due to the large concentration of nationally recognized semi trailer manufacturers in the northeast Ohio area.
In addition, Blue Ribbon Trailers welcomes the addition of a new management team to the North Jackson, Ohio facility. Ray Steede, Plant Manager, comes to Blue Ribbon with over 22 years of hands-on experience in production management and quality control in trailer manufacturing. Jim Shea (Engineer) and Shane Brogan (Production Supervisor) come to Blue Ribbon with 5 years experience.

Blue Ribbon Trailers begins production of high quality, value priced all aluminum livestock trailers in Oklahoma City.
Oklahoma City , June 1, 2006 – Blue Ribbon Trailers announced today that it has begun production on innovative, high quality built all aluminum gooseneck livestock trailers. The Blue Ribbon Management Team consists of Clint Leonard and John Clark which brings over 75 years of combined equine trailer know-how and nearly 40 years of high volume retail trailer sales experience. Blue Ribbon’s familiarity with the horse and livestock industry stems from selling and servicing nearly every brand produced and from information obtain from thousands of customers’ real world experiences.
